Student Life: Future Problem Solving
Future Problem Solving stimulates critical and creative thinking skills, encourages students to develop a vision for the future, and prepares students for leadership roles.
The team uses a six-step writing and thinking process to generate solutions to global issues. FPS is a division of the academic team and competes annually in the Kentucky Governor's Cup. The team has won district and regional competition since its establishment six years ago and placed 8th in the state in 2012.
This Future Problem Solving Team's efforts regarding the challenges of Disappearing Languages and Natural Disasters earned them the 5th region title.
