COLLEGE/SCHOLARSHIP LETTERS - Please turn in copies of all acceptance letters and scholarship offers that you receive, even if you don't plan to attend or accept.  This information should be turned in to Ms. Koontz.  We keep track of this information.

 

Beauty & Wellness Scholarship for Women - $1,000.  500 word essay required.  All majors and gpas are eligible.  Deadline:   Mar. 31, June 30.

KHSAA Agriculture Athlete of the Year Scholarship - $1,000.  Minimum 2.0 GPA, must be involved in sports and agriculture.  Deadline:  Feb. 26, 2018.

Alzheimer's Foundation of America Scholarship - $5,000.  1,200 - 1,500 essay on how alzheimer has changed or impacted your life.  Deadline: March 26, 2018.  (New deadline!)

Vegetarian College Scholarship - $5,000.  Applicants will be judged on having shown compassion, courage, and a strong commitment to promoting a peaceful world through a vegetarian diet/lifestyle.  Deadline: Feb. 20, 2018.

Bardstown Optimist Club Oratorical Contest - up to $22,500.  Open to grades 9 - 12.  Speech on "Where are My Roots of Optimism?"  Application available in Ms. Koontz's office.  Deadline:  Feb. 27, 2018.

Whittaker Bank/KHSAA Scholarship - $1,500.  Strong emphasis on leadership, academics, and service.  Deadline:  Feb. 28, 2018.

KY High School Coaches Association Scholarship - Minimum 3.0 GPA required.  Short essay required.  Deadline:  March 1, 2018.

Scholarship Central - $100,000 available to students residing in Hardin County or planning on attending ECTC.  Deadline:  March 1, 2018.  

Rotary District 6710 Speech Contest - 1st - $300; 2nd - $200; 3rd - $100.  5 - 8 minute speech, "Rotary: Making a Difference."  For more details and application see Ms. Koontz.  Deadline to apply:  March 1. Open to grades 9 - 12.

Bluegrass Energy Scholarship - $1,000.  Must be living with a parent or guardian who is a Blue Grass Energy member.  Eligibile applicants have a minimum 3.0 GPA.  Deadline:  March 9, 2018.

Community Foundation - $1,000.  One Bethlehem senior will receive this scholarship.  Minimum 2.4 GPA.  Application available in Ms. Koontz's office.  Deadline:  March 15, 2018.

Microsoft disAbility Scholarship - $20,000.  HIgh school senior living with a disability whether that be visual, hearing, mobility, cognitive, speech or other disability.  Declare an approved major in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, law, business, or a related field.  Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.  Deadline:  March 15, 2018.

CF of Louisville Foundation Scholarships - Various amounts.  Over 60 scholarship opportunities with one application.  Deadline:  March 15, 2018.

"Old Kentucky Home" Sons of the American Legion - $750.  Three letters of recommendation required.  Deadline:  April 1, 2018. Application available in Ms. Koontz's office.

Hardin Memorial Auxiliary Scholarship - $1,000.  Must be pursuing a career in the medical field.  Required minimum 3.0 gpa.  Deadline:  April 1, 2018.

Ft. Knox Federal Credit Union Scholarship - $1,000.  Must be a member in good standing with Ft. Knox Federal Credit Union.  Minimum 3.0 GPA.  Deadline:  April 1, 2018.  Application in Ms. Koontz's office.

KY Federation of Republican Women - $1,500.  Senior girl who has been politically active within the Republican Party and is a registered Republican.  Essay and two letters of recommendation required.  Deadline:  April 2, 2018.  Application in Ms. Koontz's office.

Bluegrass Cellular Scholarship - $1,500.  Must be a current Bluegrass Cellular customer who has received service for a minimum of 12 months and is in good payment standing.  Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. 300- 500 word essay.  Deadline:  April 2, 2018.

KY Home Extension Master Gardeners Association Scholarship - $1,000.  Must be enrolled in a KY community college or university with plans on majoring in a horticultural or agricultural related field.  Deadline:  April 3, 2018.  Application available in Ms. Koontz's office.

Nelson County Fair Board - William Cross & Cliff Burgess Memorial Scholarship - This scholarship is intended for the "B" student.  100 word or less essay and two letters of recommendation are required.  Deadline:  April 5, 2018.  Application in Ms. Koontz's office.

Flaget Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship - $1,000.  For students interested in purusing degrees/careers in the medical field or related disciplines.  Minimum 3.0 gpa required.  Deadline: April 15, 2018.  Application available in Ms. Koontz's office.

Bardstown Bourbon Company Scholarship - $500.  Must be a child of Nelson County 1st responder. Deadline:  April 15, 2018.  Application available in Ms. Koontz's office.

Central KY Community Action Scholarship - $500.  Minimum "B" average GPA; gross household income for 2017 may not exceed Federal Income guidelines.  Application available in Ms. Koontz's office.  Deadline:  April 17, 2018.

Tom Duncan Reed "Servicer Above Self" Scholarship - $1,000.  Minimum 3.0 GPA.  Must be a resident of Washington County.  Deadline:  April 18, 2018.

The Advocates2 Scholarship - $1,000.  Write 300-500 word essay on the following topic: What are some of the daily problems we face on the roads? What laws could be changed to accomplish that goal? How can you contribute to improving road safety?  Deadline: May 15, 2018.

The Advocates3 Scholarship - $1,000.  Write 300-500 word essay on the following topic: How has drunk driving affected car accident victims? What are some of the ways this could be prevented? What can you as an individual do to improve road safety?  Deadline: May 20, 2018.

The Advocates Scholarship - $1,000.  Write 300-500 word essay on the following topic:  What are some of the daily problems bicyclists face on the roads?  How aware are we of bicyclists and the laws associated with them?  How can you contribute to improving awareness and road safety for bicyclists?  Deadline:  May 30, 2018.

180 Medical Scholarship - $1,000.  Applicant must be under a doctor's care for spina bifada, transverse myeletis, neurogenic bladder, or ostomy.  Deadline: June 1, 2018.

Got a Spine Scholarship - $500.  Minimum 2.5 gpa.  Answer a few essay questions.  Deadline: June 2, 2018.

Disability Care Center Scholarship - $500.  Must have a minimum 2.5 gpa.  500 - 1,500 word essay.  For the disabled student or student seeking a degree in Special Education.  Deadline: August 1, 2018.

2018 Aspiring Nurse Scholarship - $1,000.  500 word essay.  Deadline:  August 31, 2018.

Advanced Manufacturing Technician Program / Bluegrass Community and Technical College -
     Earn money while you attend school.  Attend class full time two days a week and work 
     three days.  

 

 

 

-Assumption College - Annual $2,500 Scholarship for Catholic High School Students.

- Bellarmine University - Get a $1,000 for simply completing the FAFSA.

~ Thomas More College gives $13,000 to Bethlehem graduates with a 2.5 and minimum 20
     ACT.  Bishop Roger J. Foys Ministry and Service Scholarship up to $32,000 must have at          least a 22 ACT and 3.0 GPA. Visit Thomas More and receive an extra $1500 scholarship.  

~Saint Michael's College in Vermont gives $5,000 per year to graduates from Catholic high
     schools. Admission application must be received by Feb. 1, 2015.

-Seton Hall University - Catholic high school graduates with a minimum 3.0 GPA and a 29             composite ACT will be awarded $2,000 annually for four years.

~Brescia University gives the Catholic Connection Grant (1/2 tuition) from Catholic high
     schools.

~Aquinas College (Nashville) gives $1,000 to students from a Catholic high school.

-Tennessee Tech offers Eagle's Reach Tuition Reduction program, a savings of $11,200 per         year.

-Centre College - All students who apply for admission by January 15 are considered for a              merit scholarship.  Scholarship information link.

~Morehead University will award new freshmen with a minimum 3.25 GPA and 22 ACT a                $2,500 scholarship; a 3.50 and a 25 = $5,000; a 3.75 and 28 ACT = $8.000. Must apply

-Murray State University - Must complete an MSU Scholarship application by January 15.                Scholarship information link.

-Northern Kentucky University- will award new freshmen with a minimum 2.5 GPA and 21            composite ACT will be considered for a merit scholarship.  Scholarship information link.

-To be considered for the William T. Young, Kenan, & Trustee Scholarships at Transylvania
     University,
application must be submitted by December 1.  

-University of Kentucky - Completed admissions application and transcript must be received         by December 1.  Scholarship information link.

-University of Louisville - Honors Program requirements are 3.5 GPA , minimum 29 ACT and
     evidence of leadership, service and rigorous curriculum. Deadline for application is

     UofL Mentored Scholarships (Brown Fellows; Grawemeyer; MLK ; and MCConnell) deadline           is December 15.

     UofL Guaranteed Entrance programs deadline is December 15.

-Western Kentucky University - Honors College application serves as the application for the          Cherry Presidential scholarship if received by December 1.  Admission application                  deadline is November 15.  For all other scholarships, students must be admitted by                January 15th and submit the TopDollar scholarship application and all required                      documents by February 1st.  Scholarship information link.
