Also, your gifts to Bethlehem can help minimize your income tax burden.
Gifts of Cash
Most people make gifts or donations by cash or check. If you itemize your taxes, such outright gifts are fully deductible up to 50% of your adjusted gross income.
Gifts of $1,000 or more entitle you to membership in the Star of Bethlehem Society. Society members also receive additional incentive for their gifts.
Gifts of Stock
Many donors own stock that is highly appreciated. If you own stock that you have held long-term and find yourself with a lower than average yield, now may be a particularly tax-wise time to make a gift of this stock. Contributing the stock will allow you to avoid capital gains tax and take a charitable deduction equal to the full market value of the stock.
Gifts Through Your WillYour will is an important part of your estate plan. You determine to whom, how and when your property and assets will be distributed.
Gifts In Memory of a Loved One
Memorial gifts are given in honor or memory of special loved ones and friends. They are gifts given in thoughtful remembrance and serve as a permanent expression of love, honor and recognition.
Memorial gifts are recognized on Bethlehem's Wall of Honor in honor of a deceased family member or friend.
