Congratulations to Max Weston for signing this week to run Cross Country at Campbellsville University. We are so proud of all of Max's accomplishments both on and off the XC course and cannot wait to see him excel at Campbellsville University in the Fall. Congrats Max and family!

Congratulations to our ESports team who had their first in-person competition ever this weekend at Bellarmine University! They were one of only 15 teams to compete in the Esports competition. From left to right, we have: Ethan Ebelhar, Bill Peterson, Fred Maldanado, and Haley Foster. Our coach Scott Peterson was interviewed by Channel 11 after their competition! Congrats team!

Today we had an assembly to prepare to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day on Tuesday 3.21. Angels in Disguise of Louisville sent Mike Michalak and David Desanctis to speak to our students. David is an actor with two major roles in the movies "Where Hope Grows," which was filmed in Louisville, and "Color My World With Love," a Hallmark Channel film. David will share some of his personal experience and the truth that you can't hold people with Down Syndrome back! Good luck to our Archery team today who traveled to compete at the STATE level! We are so proud of all you have accomplished this year and cannot wait to see your results from today! Good luck Archers!

Several of our Bethlehem juniors and seniors attended a trip today to Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. Students toured the business, education, nursing, and vocational programs on campus. Students also attended a presentation at the Kentucky Career Center where they learned about the services available for students and adults looking for employment. Special thanks to Ms. Koontz for organizing this trip.

Yesterday morning, members of our National Honor Society hosted their annual First Responders Breakfast for our wonderful First Responders of Nelson County! Each year, our NHS members pick certain service projects which they lead as a part of their community service initiative and for these nine members, this was their project. They were here at 6:00 am to help serve and welcome our wonderful First Responders. We had a wonderful turnout and were able to share breakfast and great conversation with each and every one of them. A special thank you to Mrs. Bell and Mrs. Koontz for helping lead our National Honor Society chapter!

We would like to welcome Coach Kelly Harrison as part of our faculty here at Bethlehem High School. Coach Harrison will take on the role of Academix Interventionist and will play a vital role in the development of our students throughout the course of the school year.
Coach Harrison is a graduate of Bardstown High School, has an Associates Degree of Divinity in Biblical Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Psychology. Over the course of 27 years, he has been a Youth Advocate/Interventionist, a Youth Advocate Programs/Advocate Plus member, and a Youth Soccer Coach/Trainer. He has been a Director/Volunteer of the Nelson County Youth Soccer Association/Bardstown Youth Soccer for 40 years. He has also led the Bardstown/Nelson County Youth Empowerment Project for 9 years. In addition to all of these roles, he is also a School Advocate/Interventionist for both Bardstown City Schools as well as the Nelson County Schools for 17 years.
We are also very blessed to have him as our Head Boys Soccer Coach for four years as well as our Head Wrestling Coach for two years. There could not be a better role model and person to help lead our young people here at Bethlehem and we are beyond grateful to have him here with us every single day. Welcome to the Bethlehem classroom, Coach Kelly Harrison!

Congratulations to freshman PT Minor who won the KHSAA Region III Swimming and Diving Sportsmanship Award! He was voted as the winner for all of the schools in our Region and we are so proud of him for that! Sportsmanship is demonstrating fair and generous behavior or treatment of others, especially in a sports contest and we know that PT sets this exact example every day. Congratulations, PT!

"Blessed are those who spoil and snuggle, hug and hope, pray and pamper, for they shall be called Grandparents". We were blessed with another beautiful Grandparent's Mass today at Bethlehem High School. We filled the entire St. Joseph Church with all of our students and grandparents on this beautiful Tuesday morning. Thank you to all of our grandparents who shared this special day with us!
