The Young Leaders Program is a leadership initiative organized by the Bardstown–Nelson County Chamber of Commerce for high school sophomores across all four area schools.

Students are selected through a formal application process—including essays, recommendations, attendance, and resumes—and are intentionally chosen for their drive, civic engagement, and potential—not solely GPA.

Over the school year, participants engage in multi-session leadership training and in-depth community exploration. The program takes them across key sectors—including agriculture, tourism, government, business, health, workforce development, volunteerism, media, law enforcement, and civic engagement—so they can better understand, connect with, and serve their community.

The mission? To spark personal growth, deepen civic involvement, and prepare future leaders who are grounded in—and committed to—making a difference in Bardstown and Nelson County.

We couldn’t be prouder of Vivian, Logan, Josey, Ty, Brady, Makenzie, and Tatum. Thank you for stepping up to lead with heart and purpose!

Congratulations to Silas Dillard and Abby Brauner for being voted and awarded as the August Student Athletes of the Month! We are so proud of their leadership, hard work, and dedication both to their sport and their academics. They truly embody what it means to be a Bethlehem student-athlete. A huge thank you to Wings and Rings for sponsoring this recognition and helping us celebrate the achievements of our students!

We had such a great time at the Freshman Cornhole Tournament! The afternoon was filled with lots of fun, friendly competition, and plenty of laughs as students showed off their cornhole skills. Everyone brought great energy, making it an exciting event from start to finish. A big congratulations goes out to Andrew Goff and Dawson Simpson for taking home the win—way to go!

Our Eagle was out and about this morning, high-fiving students and holding the door to get everyone pumped up for our first home football game tonight at 5-Star Field! The energy and spirit are sky-high, and we’re ready for an incredible day and night together! 🦅🏈✨

Meet Autumn Johnson, our amazing Veterinary Intern at Bourbon City Animal Hospital! Autumn has been gaining hands-on experience assisting with animal care during exams, vaccinations, and minor procedures. Her love for animals shines through in everything she does, and we are so proud of the way she is using her talents to make a difference!

Today we hosted our annual Club Fair, giving every student the chance to explore the wide variety of clubs available at Bethlehem and sign up for the ones that sparked their interest. It was a great opportunity for students to discover new passions, get involved, and connect with others who share their interests. We had an amazing turnout with lots of new sign-ups, and we can’t wait to see all the exciting things our clubs will accomplish this year!

Anna Kuntz and Brady Matherly did a fantastic job today serving as Student Ambassadors! They led the Superintendent of Catholic Schools, Amy Nall, and our Leadership Cohort Director, Will Parker, on a personalized tour of campus. Both students did an excellent job sharing Bethlehem’s history, culture, and the many things that make our community so special. We were honored to welcome Amy Nall and Will Parker to campus and are grateful for the opportunity to showcase the heart of Bethlehem!

The 2025 Yearbook has officially arrived! We are so excited to showcase our framed copy in the front lobby, right alongside our Best High School 2025 plaque.

A huge thank you to our incredible 2025 Yearbook Class, led by the amazing Mrs. Spaulding, for creating a keepsake that our Bethlehem community will treasure for years to come.

Mr. Payette’s class recently explored the concept of surface tension through a fun and hands-on experiment. Students tested how many drops of liquid a penny could hold before spilling over, observing the strength of surface tension in action. They compared different solutions—including plain water, water with detergent, and water with ammonia—to see how each substance affected the number of drops. This engaging activity not only sparked curiosity but also gave students a clear understanding of how surface tension works in everyday life.
