We are thrilled to announce and extend a warm welcome to our new football coach, Coach Tim Mattingly, who will be joining our esteemed athletic staff. Coach Mattingly brings with him a wealth of experience, passion for the game, and a commitment to fostering excellence both on and off the field. With an impressive track record of success, Coach Mattingly is well-prepared to lead our football program to new heights. His coaching philosophy aligns seamlessly with our values, emphasizing not only skill development and strategic gameplay but also faith, character building, and sportsmanship. We are confident that Coach Mattingly will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our football program and contributing to the overall success of our athletes. His dedication to mentorship and creating a positive, collaborative team environment will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on our student-athletes. Coach Mattingly has coached high school football for 34 years. During this time, he has won 14
district championships, 4 region championships, and 1 state runner-up in 2013. He began his coaching career at Washington County as an assistant in 1990. He was promoted to Defensive Coordinator in 1995 and was named the Head Coach in 2001. In 2004 he joined Meade County as their defensive coordinator and held that position for 10 years. In March of 2014, he was named the Head Football Coach at Central Hardin. While at Central Hardin he won 79 games, 6 district championships, 2 regional championships, and 2 semi-state appearances. He held this position for 10 years before stepping down. Coach Mattingly married his wife Kris in 1992 and they have 2 children, Tyler and Elizabeth. Tyler is married to Carleigh and they have 2 children, Mac and Hallie. Please join me in giving a warm welcome to Coach Tim Mattingly.
