Welcoming the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth!

This week, we were honored to welcome the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth to our campus for a visit and tour! Walking through our historic 200+ year-old building together reminded us of the incredible legacy of Mother Catherine Spalding and the importance of celebrating her during our annual Foundress Day.

Our conversations focused on the many ways Bethlehem High School continues to live out the mission of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. From Mrs. Craig’s U.S. History classes, where students study Saints who served as immigrants during the New World Period and hear from Catholic Charities speakers about the Church’s teachings on social justice, to our Forest School STAR Term at Bernheim Forest, where students reflect on Pope Francis’ encyclical on care for creation—our commitment to faith, service, and stewardship remains strong.

We are deeply grateful to the Sisters for their continued support of Bethlehem, including their generosity in providing minority scholarships that make a Catholic education possible for many of our students.

A special thank you to students Alivia Pascual and Anna Kuntz for serving as wonderful tour guides and to Mrs. Craig, Mrs. Payne, Mrs. Melega, Mr. Heil, and Mrs. Thurmond for leading the conversation on these inspiring shared initiatives. 💙💛
