✨ Senior Retreat 2025 – Class of 2026 ✨

What an absolutely phenomenal weekend at our three-day Christian Awakening Retreat! Our Class of 2026 spent the weekend bonding, sharing experiences, and growing closer to God and to each other. 💙💛

The peaceful setting at Gasper River was the perfect place to reflect and reconnect — complete with stunning sunsets and sunrises, a beautiful river backdrop, and amazing outdoor space where students could hike, run, and enjoy time together in nature.

Throughout the retreat, our students participated in Mass, Reconciliation, small group discussions, 5am runs, and listened to several incredible speakers who offered meaningful lessons and inspiration for life beyond the classroom.

A huge thank you to Mr. Hayden for his exceptional planning and leadership of this retreat — with details mapped down to the very minute. We are also deeply grateful for our outstanding Theology Department: Mrs. Melega, Mr. Melega, and Mr. Simpson for their support and guidance throughout the weekend.

And a special thank you to the staff members who spent the entire 3 days with our students: Mrs. Stevens, Ms. Childers, Mr. Hughes, Dr. Corbett, Mrs. McGill, Mrs. Downs, Coach Bodine, and Mrs. Thurmond. Your care, leadership, and presence make all the difference.

We are truly blessed with an incredible staff and an amazing group of students who continually inspire us.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate four outstanding students who have earned their place in Bethlehem’s ACT 30 and Above Club! Congratulations to Henry Evans, Cameron Lanham, Ramona Manion, and Annya McClure on this remarkable achievement. We are inspired by their hard work and thrilled to recognize their success. Winter Formal Dress Code
We can’t wait to see everyone looking your best and enjoying a classy, fun evening together!

Young Ladies:
• Semi-formal dresses appropriate for a school-sponsored event
• Dresses should provide appropriate coverage in the chest, midriff, and backside areas
• Length should be modest when sitting, standing, and dancing
• Cutouts, sheer material, and low backs must still maintain good taste and coverage

Young Men:
• Semi-formal attire: dress pants, button-down shirt, tie, and jacket/blazer or suit
• Dress shoes required

General Reminders:
• Choose attire that allows for comfortable movement and dancing
• When in doubt—choose modesty and class!
• Administration reserves the right to address attire that does not meet expectations upon arrival.

Bethlehem High School’s Open House will be held on Thursday, December 4th, from 5–8 p.m., and all are welcome! This is a wonderful opportunity to explore our school, meet our dedicated teachers, and experience the warm, family atmosphere that makes Bethlehem so special. Happy National Substitute Appreciation Week! This week, we celebrate and honor the incredible individuals who step in, support our classrooms, and keep our school community thriving. We are truly thankful for the substitutes who continually show up for Bethlehem with dedication, flexibility, and heart. Our students and staff are blessed with the very best, and we deeply appreciate all that you do. Thank you for the difference you make each and every day!

This week we were honored to host our annual Veterans Day lunch, welcoming about 50 Veterans who joined us to share a meal with their grandchildren and families who attend Bethlehem. Having these heroes with us made the day incredibly meaningful, and we are deeply grateful for their service and sacrifice. 🇺🇸❤️

A huge thank you to our National Honor Society for planning and organizing this wonderful event for our Bethlehem community.

We also want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our amazing cafeteria staff for preparing a delicious Thanksgiving lunch to coincide with our Veterans Day celebration. They spent weeks planning and cooking an incredible meal of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green beans, rolls, and pumpkin pie for our students, staff, and guests. 🍽️🥧

Their dedication, hard work, and love make every meal special — and we are so thankful for them today and every day. 💙💛

Bethlehem High School will be hosting the High School Placement Test on Saturday, December 13th at 9:00 a.m. Students may be dropped off at the front doors beginning at 8:30 a.m., and the test will conclude between 12:00–12:30 p.m. Snacks and water will be provided, and students do not need to bring anything with them. The Bethlehem Theatre Department is excited to announce auditions for this year’s spring musical, My Fair Lady! Auditions will be held on Tuesday, December 9th, from 3:30 to 6 p.m. in the Prep Hall. Students will showcase their talents by performing songs and monologues in a Cockney/British accent—girls will prepare “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly” and boys will prepare “On the Street Where You Live.” We can’t wait to see the creativity and passion our students bring to the stage as we prepare for this classic, beloved production!

All Bethlehem High School art classes came together to create a stunning Georgia O’Keeffe–inspired poppy mural in remembrance of those who have served our country. 🌺

The poppy has long been a symbol of remembrance, inspired by the poem “In Flanders Fields” where poppies grew on soldiers’ graves after World War I. O’Keeffe’s bold, close-up flower style encouraged our students to use color and shape to express gratitude and respect for our veterans.

Every art student contributed a section, and together their pieces formed one powerful tribute of unity, beauty, and remembrance. ❤️🤍💙

Our Personal Finance students welcomed Jimi Burress, financial adviser with Town & Country Bank, to campus today! Mr. Burress shared valuable insights on topics like 401(k) vs. Roth accounts, investments, interest growth, stocks, and real estate. Students asked thoughtful questions about pensions, taxes, and even pyramid schemes, sparking great discussion about smart financial decision-making. Thank you, Mr. Burress, for helping our students build a foundation for their financial futures!
