Today's Prayer
Heavenly Father, in the busyness of our days, we often rush from one thing to the next—school, practices, work, and commitments. Help us, Lord, to pause. Remind us that the most precious moments are not found on our calendars, but in the quiet conversations, shared laughter, and simple meals spent together. Grant our families the grace to slow down—to see one another, to listen with love, and to cherish the gift of time together. May our homes be places of peace, joy, and gratitude, where Your presence fills every room. Bless all our families, Lord, and guide us to live each day with purpose, balance, and love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Announcements:
Happy birthday today to Jack Bradley, and Jack Stevenson! We hope you both have a great birthday!!
Extra copies of last year’s (2024–2025) yearbook are now available for purchase for $50! Order forms are being sent home with students and must be signed by a parent to authorize payment through the FACTS Portal. Please return all completed forms to Mrs. Downs to get your yearbook — supplies are limited! Don’t miss your chance to grab a copy of last year’s memories!
The Youth Coalition Council would like to congratulate recently elected officers for this school year: President: Audrey Greenwell, Vice-President: Evie Baldwin, Treasurer: Ella Gootee, Secretary: Emma Bickett, Media Coordinator: Pixie Murdock
Attendance quick reference: With a new 9 weeks starting upon our return from break, here is a refresher on attendance policies. * Absences: Parents or guardians need to contact the office when a student is going to be absent or late or it will be marked unexcused which means the student is unable to make up missed work. Students can use three parent notes per nine weeks for absences. Once those are used, a dr note is required for it to be excused. Extended absences due to a family event or medical procedure need to be communicated to the principal as soon as possible. If it is a planned activity, two weeks notice is required for consideration of approval. * Tardies-Students are tardy if they are not in their first period class at 8:15. Students can use three parent tardy notes per nine weeks, then they are unexcused. * Appointments-Students can have three parent appointment notes per nine weeks. Additional appointments require a dr note. * College visits-juniors can use one per year and seniors can use two per year that count as a school absence rather than using a parent note. These have to be arranged through Ms Koontz at least two days in advance of the college visit. Otherwise, the visit will use a parent note. * Contact person for attendance: [email protected]
Grandparents Mass Reminders: Students whose grandparents are attending will be released a few minutes early on Thursday to meet them on the St. Joseph porch at the front entrance of the church. This will make it easier for students to find their grandparents and sit together for Mass. Parents—please note that you only need to complete the email form if you are declining the lunch check-out option. If students do not return after Mass and lunch, they will still be recorded as present for a full school day since they will have been in attendance for more than three hours. Of course, students are welcome to return to school after lunch if they choose.
Breakfast Cart: Students the breakfast cart will be located in the cafeteria this week and not in the gym if you need breakfast in the morning.
The FACTS window to apply for financial aid for the 2026-2027 school year is open. It will remain open until November 30, 2025. Parents of current freshman, sophomore and junior students who feel they have a need for financial aid should complete a FACTS Grant and Aid application by signing into your FACTS account. When you sign in, a window will pop up for the financial aid application. Please remember that if you have students in multiple Catholic schools, only one application should be submitted for all of your students and an application is required each year. Your 2024 federal tax return and W2s will be required to apply. Should you need assistance with the application, please call the FACTS Grant and Aid service line at 866-315-9262.

Worship Wednesday!
Each Wednesday during homeroom, our students are invited to attend Mass and Confession in our Chapel as part of our Worship Wednesday tradition. This special opportunity allows our community to pause, pray, and grow together in faith — in addition to our regular monthly all-school Masses.
This year, we’ve been blessed to welcome priests from many of our feeder parishes across Marion, Washington, Nelson, Bullitt, and Jefferson Counties to celebrate with us. It has been a joy to see our students worship alongside the very priests who serve their home parishes!
A heartfelt thank you to these priests who have joined us so far:
🙏 Father Daniel Whelan – St. Augustine (Lebanon)
🙏 Father Jason Harris – St. Gabriel (Louisville)
🙏 Father Dale Cieslik – St. Francis Xavier (Mount Washington)
🙏 Father Matthew Hardesty – St. Athanasius (Louisville)
🙏 Father Brandon DeToma – St. Thomas and St. Monica (Bardstown)
We are so grateful for our Theology Department and Mr. Hayden, our Campus Minister, for their creative planning and commitment to making Worship Wednesdays possible.
What a blessing it is to have such a strong, faith-filled school community united in prayer!
