Today's Prayer
Heavenly Father, we lift up all those in our Bethlehem family who are facing hardships at home. Surround them with Your comfort, give them strength during difficult days, and remind them that they are never alone. Help us to support one another with kindness, compassion, and prayer. May Your peace and hope fill every heart and home that needs You today. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Announcements:
Happy belated birthday to Ava Gott, Conner Denton, and Sophia Miles! We hope you all have a great birthday!!
Don’t forget if you drive to Bethlehem and have a painted spot in the back or are parking at St Joe, you must complete a parking pass form.
Students will be bringing home an order form for their Battle of the Classes class shirts. These shirts are the spirit shirt for each grade level at Bethlehem. Students who purchase the shirt will be able to participate in special events such as Powder Puff Football, Syrup Jug Basketball, Battle of the Classes, and many more events. Students will be permitted to wear these shirts on designated days throughout the year. Students who do not purchase a shirt will be in uniform on those days. Please complete the form and submit it by Wednesday of next week. Students will pay for their shirts through FACTS. If a student has a financial hardship, please reach out to Mrs. Livers.
Juniors, please check your email. Mrs. Rogers has emailed you an interest form regarding the PSAT sign up to be considered for National Merit Qualifying Scholarships. Please read the email and fill out the form if you are interested in taking the PSAT on October 20. Please email or see Mrs. Rogers with any questions.
St. Joseph's after school program is looking for two students to work their after school program in the afternoon. If you are interested in this part-time position, please email Janet Hicks at [email protected].
Returning Beta Club members, the application to be an officer is now posted on Google Classroom. The application is due by August 19th. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Mudd.
Cafeteria Information: Any new student at Bethlehem who needs to set up a My School Bucks account for lunch payments can have their parents set that up through this link. Students, your lunch code is your student ID number. Please have that ready in the line so it moves quicker in the cafeteria.
Drive To School: If you drive to school, you need to come right into the building and not wait in your car. This is a safety precaution so you are accounted for as soon as you arrive on campus.
If you are a Nelson County (not Bethlehem) bus rider in the afternoon, you will need to go to the back courtyard at 2:35 in order to catch your bus once Nelson County starts school. This will be the time you need to be there whenever you are riding a Nelson County bus. Students who ride Bethlehem buses will dismiss at 3 when the bell rings.
Parking passes for 26-27-parking pass forms are given to students during homeroom when school starts and are not issued in the summer. Students who are not driving when school starts can pick up a form from the front office once they are licensed and driving to school. Students with painted spots in the back must still complete a parking form. If you have a parking pass from last year, it is expired and needs to be removed from your vehicle and replaced with a new tag. This needs to be done promptly since spots will be assigned as soon as we receive and process forms.
What's Going On:
KHSAA HYPE Student Leadership Conference: Are you interested in growing as a leader and representing Bethlehem? Sign up to attend the KHSAA HYPE Student Leadership Conference in Lexington on Tuesday, September 1 at the Central Bank Center! HYPE is a one-day leadership conference where students develop leadership skills, discuss important issues, and bring ideas back to strengthen our school community. There is no cost to attend, but we must have at least 10 students signed up in order for Bethlehem to participate. Please complete this sign-up form by Friday, August 14 if you are interested in attending. We hope you'll join us for this outstanding leadership opportunity!
Blessing of New Drivers: Have you received your learner’s permit or driver’s license within the past year—or are you preparing to take your test soon? You’re invited to the Blessing of New Drivers at the Basilica of St. Joseph! New drivers can receive a special blessing during one of the following Masses:
Friday, August 15: 4:00 PM Saturday, August 16: 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, or 11:00 AM
This is a wonderful opportunity for our young drivers to ask God’s blessing for safety, wisdom, and responsibility as they begin this exciting new chapter of independence.
Handy Hands: A Day of Service: We invite our 6th–12th grade students and adult volunteers to join us for Handy Hands on Saturday, August 29! This special day of service is an opportunity to share our time, talents, and kindness with our homebound parishioners while building meaningful connections within our community. The day will conclude with 4:00 PM Mass, and full-day attendance is required. Come serve with us and put your faith into action! Click here to sign up.
Welcome Supper: The Welcome Supper is this Thursday at 5-Star Field from 6-8:00pm. It is for Freshmen and Seniors only. It is a fun night of fellowship with games and food so these two classes can begin to get to know one another. Check out your teams and your team colors posted outside of the library! Wear that color, put on face paint, wear your bandanas, bring your colored flags, let’s go all out and plan an awesome welcome supper for our freshmen! Seniors with the last name A–M need to bring chips and seniors with last names N–Z need to bring drinks (cases/packs) for dinner. The school will provide Chick-fil-A sandwiches.

Bethlehem Serves!
Our National Honor Society students had a wonderful evening of service at the Guthrie Opportunity Center Farm to Table event on August 8th! From 5:30–10:30 PM, our students volunteered their time to support the GO Center and its mission of creating meaningful employment opportunities for individuals who face intellectual barriers to traditional employment. We are so proud of Grace Noce, Zoe Thurmond, Loren Macy, Maya Noce, Karson Haggard, Reese Thompson, Kenlee Mousser, Ty Johnson, Declan Curtis, Sophia Miles, Tatum Stone, and Matti Deopere for representing Bethlehem and demonstrating what it means to serve others in our community. Thank you for giving your time and making a difference!
