We had a wonderful time celebrating our sophomores at the Sophomore Sweet Treat Party! After taking the Pre-ACT 10, an impressive 79% of the class met their target score, showing incredible growth from their freshman year. We are so proud of their hard work and dedication! A special thank you to Mrs. Fran Spalding with Sweet Frannies for providing the delicious sweet treats that made the celebration even sweeter!

Mrs. Connie McDowell is experiencing a rare and special moment in her teaching career — she is currently teaching six of her own cousins at Bethlehem! Olivia and Lauren Hamilton are her first cousins twice removed through her father’s side, with their grandfather, Jimmy Barnett, being Connie’s first cousin. Ryan and Jackson Spalding, along with Harper and Sloane Smith, are her first cousins once removed through her mother’s side, with their parents, Jody Spalding and Ashley Smith, also being Connie’s first cousins. It’s a true testament to the strong family ties and tradition that run deep at Bethlehem, and an incredible blessing to have so much family together in the classroom.

Senior Signing Day was a special and memorable event where our seniors officially signed to the colleges they plan to attend after graduation. It was wonderful to see so many families, friends, and faculty come together to celebrate this important milestone. Each senior had their moment to be recognized for their hard work and future plans, making it a proud and joyful occasion for the entire Bethlehem community. We are so excited to see all the amazing things they will accomplish in this next chapter!

Congratulations to Anna Kuntz, Savannah Montgomery, and Mr. Ben Corder on completing the Derby Festival MiniMarathon! This is such an incredible accomplishment and a true testament to their hard work, dedication, and perseverance. We are so proud of them for representing Bethlehem with such spirit and determination. Way to go!

Mark your calendars for the Bethlehem Banshees Bash 3v3 Tournament! This exciting event will take place on Friday, July 18th at Five-Star Field, with games kicking off as early as 3 PM and running through 11 PM. The tournament is open to boys and girls in 3rd through 8th grade, and each team can have up to six players on their roster. It’s a great opportunity for young athletes to compete, have fun, and showcase their skills in a fast-paced, energetic environment. This morning, our seniors were given the gift of extra time with God and their classmates as they enter their final days at Bethlehem. The day began with a peaceful walk together to St. Monica's, where they celebrated Mass with our chaplain, Fr. Rust. In his homily, Fr. Rust reminded the seniors to be fully present in each moment—neither dwelling too much on the past nor rushing ahead to the future—because, as he beautifully shared, “these are the good old days.” Every day is a “good old day” because Christ is risen and walks with us in the present. A particularly special part of the Mass was the celebration of their classmate, Alexis Hume, who entered the Church and received all the sacraments of initiation. Following Mass, the seniors spent quiet time in adoration and had the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, thanks to the generous presence of five local priests. The morning continued with small group discussions reflecting on the blessings of the past four years and the hopes and uncertainties of what lies ahead. The day closed with a meaningful walk back to campus, where the seniors received and tried on their caps and gowns for the very first time—marking the beginning of their final steps as Bethlehem students.

This incredible college success program offers a renewable scholarship along with a wide range of support, including access to online learning tools, a dedicated social networking platform, college persistence counseling, and personal and professional development opportunities. We are so proud of Ashley and can’t wait to see all the amazing things she will accomplish through this program!
