COLLEGE & SCHOLARSHIP LETTERS - Please turn in copies of all acceptance letters and scholarship offers that you receive to Ms. Koontz, even if you don't plan to attend or accept.  We keep track of this information.

 

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

 

Ronald Reagan Oratory Competition - (open to grades 9 - 12) $1,000 plus an all expense paid trip to California.  Deadline:  November 12, 2025.

 

KY Elks Scholarship - up to $4,000.  For seniors pursuing a 4 year degree.  Deadline:  November 12, 2025.

 

Bardstown Nelson County Optimist Essay Contest - $200.  Chance to win $2,500. Essay Topic: “How My Acts of Service Help Me Understand What My Community Means to Me”. Deadline:  Turn into Ms. Koontz by 3:00, November 14, 2025.

 

William T Robertson Scholarship Essay - $2,000. 600 word essay on the importance of concrete.  Deadline:  November 15, 2025.

 

Father John Morgan Scholarship - $10,000 to one Bethlehem senior. This scholarship is for a student who has selected a course of study in college leading to a profession in business, law, medicine, religion, science or education. Make a copy prior to entering information.  Completed applications are due to Ms. Koontz by noon, Monday, December 1st.

 

Avacare Medical Scholarship - $1,000.  For students pursuing a degree in the medical field.  Write about an inspiring act of kindness.  Must have a minimum 3.0 gpa.  Deadline:  December 15, 2025.

 

Calvin Coolidge Scholarship - Full ride to college of choice (Juniors only) Requires students read President Coolidge's Autobiography and write three essays. 100 students will be chosen for an all-expense paid trip and a $1,000 scholarship.  Deadline:  December 16, 2025.

 

Wealth Wise Scholarship - $1,000.  Intended for students interested in the finance industry.  Two short essays required.  Deadline:  December 31, 2025. 

 

Fidelity Scholars Scholarship - Full ride to a school of your choice in KY.  For students with a 2.5 - 3.5 cumulative gpa.  Deadline:  January 29, 2026.

 

GE-Ronald Reagan Scholarship - $10,000.  Applicant demonstrates leadership, drive, integrity and citizenship.  Minimum 3.0 gpa.  Deadline:  January 5, 2026.

 

All "A" Classic Scholarship - (25) $1,000.  Plan to attend a college/university in the state of KY.  Two letters of recommendation required.  Deadline:  January 9, 2026.

 

KHSAA/Friends of Coal - ( 2 ) $1,000.  Must have been a team captain of a KHSAA sport and minimum 2.0 gpa. Deadline:  February 1st, 2026. 

 

Dell Scholars Program - $20,000.  Must be a Pell Grant recipient and have a minimum 2.4 gpa.  Application opens December 15. Deadline:  February 15, 2026.

 

NAACP Scholarship - $500.  Based on some need.  One Bethlehem senior will receive this award.  Application available from Ms. Koontz.  Deadline:  March 13, 2026.  

 

Society for the Prevention of Aggressiveness and Violence Among Adolescents (SPAVA) - $1,000 (for Jefferson County students) Awarded to applicants who work to reduce violence, promote peace and seek to educate those around them.  Essay required.  Deadline:  March 22, 2026.

 

KY Federation of Republican Women - $1,500.  Open to a senior girl who has been politically active within the Republican Party.  Application available from Ms. Koontz.  Deadline: March 30, 2026.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Raiseme Scholarship - Earn micro-scholarships directly from four-year colleges for your school achievements starting in the 9th grade, all the way through to community college! Deadline varies by school.

KY Work Ready Scholarship - Be enrolled or accepted into an approved program of study that leads to an industry recognized certificate or diploma or Associate of Applied Science degree in a high-demand workforce sector. Qualifying areas are health care, advanced manufacturing, transportation/logistics, business services, IT and construction.  Money is given on 1st come, 1st serve basis.

Naval Reserve Officers Training Scholarship - Minimum ACT Score Math 21, English 22,
      Fitness Assessment scoresheet.  Full tuition plus monthly $250 stipend.
